Coroner's jury recommends officers wait for backup in rural arrests

The coroner’s jury in the inquest into the 2013 shooting death of Gerald Lord recommended rural RCMP officers wait for backup before attempting to make an arrest.

After hearing three days of evidence, the six-person jury provided presiding coroner Alma Wiebe with four recommendations directed at the RCMP.
