As part of the anti-colonial days that will take place from the 25th to 27th of November, the Project Accompaniment Solidarity with Colombia (PASC) and Submedia convey you for a «4-to-6pm» of collective reflexions on the themes of territories and extractive struggles. As a basis for our discussions, several video capsules recently produced by Submedia and the Mined Lands project (Des-terres-minées) will be screened.

DES-TERRES-MINÉES: During a tour in different regions of so-called Quebec in the spring of 2016, the project gathered testimonies from women and individuals experiencing gender-based oppressions and their visions of the territory/ies and the resistance deployed to face the various extractive projects that are constantly developing here and elsewhere. This meeting will be the FIRST PUBLIC SHOWING of some of these capsules!

SUBMEDIA: Submedia works to disseminate social struggles and to promote anarchist and anti-capitalist ideas.

Programming:

- Denise Jourdain, 5mins10, French
In this capsule, Denise Jourdain, an innu woman of Uashat-Mak-Maliotenam, gives us a distressing portrait of all that the Arnaud Mine on the North Shore would devastate. This apatite mine would be located on the territories of her community and would violate its ancestral rights.

In this capsule, Johanne Roussy, a native of Sept-Iles and a militant of «Sept-Iles without uranium», speaks about the importance of conducting anti-colonial struggles against wild extractivism.
