Bulgarian Police Try to Break Up Protests with Pepper Spray, Don’t Account for Wind

Over the weekend, Bulgarian protesters gathered in the capital of Sofia, blocking the streets to the parliament and calling for early elections, according to local news. Police tried to break them up, but fortunately for the protesters, Bulgarian law enforcement doesn't seem to be super experienced with crowd dispersal. In a clip that's now gone viral, one officer unloads a can of pepper spray directly into the wind, blowing it back into the faces of the police all massed together.

It's not a great look for the police of Sofia, what with the acting out of a real-life scene from Anchorman, but honestly, it's a better look than when NYPD officers corralled and then successfully pepper-sprayed protesters at Occupy Wall Street. If anything, Bulgaria should start hosting training sessions for other countries.
