*english follow*

THE ''STATIC DEMONSTRATION'' OF THE COBP/ASSÉ/SPVM AND DISINFORMATION
The REAL report of the gathering in solidarity with victims of police brutality

It is with no great surprise that we witnessed yesterday another proof that the SPVM likes to spend cash to mobilize tens and tens… and tens if cops (good job Marc Parent…) for a simple gathering that was called a static demonstration (???) by the crap medias. All that was missing was the cavalry and the copter and we would have felt as if we were in March 15th or May 1st protest . Of courses, the mass medias focused on the fact that we did not submit our itinerary and on the two arrests of the evening.
L’ASSÉ was characterized as the villains who did not give their itinerary, again according to the crap medias. The same medias did not mention the insanely big police presence, probably thinking that it was justified as the organizers had given the “itinerary of their static demonstration”.
Still according to the crap medias, “only about 50 people answered the call”, well first they don’t know how to count and second if there had not been such a huge swine presence there would have been a lot more people! We know that a lot of people wanted to come to the gathering but turned around when they saw the imposing police intimidation. All the present medias repeated the same bullshit recalling that the 2014 March 15th protest organized by the COBP ended with 288 arrests. The only good thing to come out of all these articles was the brief mention of police conduct complaints that we did during our gathering in solidarity with Robert Fransham.

The reason of this police deployment which made absolutely no sense??? This gathering was organized in part by the COBP. Political profiling maybe?
To ask the question is to answer it, we have no doubt.
Police resources were positioned from the start of the gathering in surrounding mode covering all possible exits to better form a kettle. They were just waiting for the moment we take the street to execute it and so quench their repression thirst.

So we were treated with the full production… to finally have the SPVM stand there like idiots in the stairs for an hour and a half listening to the rebellious speeches about them and watching tens of people write up police conduct complaint forms. Disappointed to lean that there would be no actual protest and to save face and justify the huge deployment of cops, they arrested two persons for having “dirtied public domain”… basically to have thrown a paper on the floor… and to later release them with a $101 ticket.

We have seen proof that is not just during demonstrations that the SPVM will repress people but also during simple political gatherings who are especially denouncing police forces.

How much did this police deployment cost? And the one on March 15th? And the one on May 1st? This question was on the lips of many at the gathering yesterday.
The “torturer” of the SPVM, Marc Parent will have to answer one day.

Even so, the report of our gathering is pretty positive; the speeches given by many persons victim of police brutality during a protest were simply filled with emotion and revolt. We also distributed to the people present pre-stamped envelopes with police conduct complaint forms inside them. The people took the time to sit down and fill out forms, were asking questions, some were taking forms for friends to spread this action… in summary, it was a success…

The COBP wishes to thank everyone that came to the gathering in spite of the police intimidation.
It is more and more important to denounce this police brutality and this climate of fear that the SPVM is slowly creating in our demonstrations.
We must close ranks because at some point, we will cease to protest out of love and start to protest out of rage and when this moment comes, we wish good luck to the SPVM…
