Opinion: Plan to end racial profiling by Montreal police falls short

Last week, the Montreal police service (SPVM) released with great fanfare, at a public city council meeting, its Strategic Plan to Support SPVM Personnel on the Prevention of Racial and Social Profiling. The three-year plan is the long-awaited response to recommendations made by two city council standing committees in the fall of 2017, after a series of public hearings held in June 2017.
