Woman suing RCMP over alleged sexual assault decries slow pace of lawsuit

A woman who sued the RCMP more than two years ago over allegations a Mountie sexually assaulted her is angry that the case might not get to trial until 2020.

The B.C. woman filed her notice of civil claim against former RCMP officer Daniel Marshall and the RCMP in October 2016.

She says she’s now been told that due to delays in the RCMP providing disclosure, the 10-day trial has been put off until 2020.
