Watchdog investigating London police over woman's in-custody death

A female prisoner found without vital signs in the cells at London police headquarters earlier this month has died.

Ontario’s police watchdog has opened an investigation, which wasn’t prompted by the death but rather “further information” obtained by investigators two weeks ago.

On Sunday, Nov. 3, paramedics were called to the London police station on Dundas Street shortly after 9:30 a.m. for a patient without vital signs.
