An Edmonton police officer who dropped his knee into the back of a prone suspect has been found guilty of assault.

Provincial court Judge Peter Ayotte gave his verdict Thursday morning in the trial of Edmonton Police Service Const. Michael Partington, who assisted another officer in the 2019 arrest of Elliot McLeod.
