Two Durham Regional Police officers have been charged after a man was seriously injured in April 2017, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said in a news release Wednesday.
After an 11-month investigation, the SIU found that an Oshawa traffic stop on April 26, 2017 resulted in serious injuries to a 35-year-old man. The man had been a passenger in a vehicle that was being driven by another individual, the release states. A previous press release about the same incident notes the stop was conducted by plainclothes officers.
